Our standards

We are extremely particular about supplements.

We assess the complete formulation, meaningful ingredient choices, sourcing, third-party testing and manufacturing standards.

Our approach

We look beyond the
front of the label.

A recognisable ingredient or impressive claim is not enough. We look at the details behind it. These are the five criteria that guide our selection.

01
Formulation

The complete formula.

The complete formula has to make sense, not just one hero ingredient. We examine ingredient combinations, amounts per serving and delivery systems, and the reasoning behind the formulation.

What we look at

Composition. Serving size. Delivery system.

02
Ingredients

Form. Dose. Source. Role.

We care about the form, dose, source and role of each ingredient. Bioavailability and supporting ingredients deserve the same scrutiny as the headline nutrient. We want a reason for every ingredient to be there.

What we look at

Ingredient identity. Amount. Source. Function.

03
Quality

Manufacturing and testing.

We prioritise trusted manufacturing, clear ingredient information and third-party testing. We examine the available documentation and what a test covers. Product-specific testing claims need product-specific evidence.

What we look at

Manufacturer. Traceability. Test scope.

04
Purpose

A formulation with a purpose.

We look for products developed to do a specific job, with relevant research behind the ingredient choices and amounts. A large number on a label or a fashionable ingredient is not a substitute for a well-developed formula.

What we look at

Intended use. Relevant research. Formulation rationale.

05
People

People who know their products.

We look for brands created by people driven by years of research, high standards and a genuine commitment to making exceptional products.

What we look at

Experience. Research. Accountability.
